The 49th Annual International Drug Enforcement Training Conference sponsored by the International Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association, will be held August 3-8, 2008 in Orlando, Florida.
As customary, there will be a special awards ceremony to honor officers who have exemplified courage and dedication in their commitment to Drug Enforcement.
The conference keynote speaker for the 49th Annual INEOA Conference will be Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Director Thomas A. Betro.
Director Betro was appointed as Director of NCIS on January 8, 2006 by the Honorable Dr. Donald C. Winter, Secretary of the Navy. Director Betro has served with the NCIS since 1982 and has held a number of positions within the NCIS
As Director, Mr. Betro is responsible for all criminal, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism investigations and operations, as well as security matters within the Department of the Navy.
Director Betro will be addressing the group on Monday August 4, 2008 as part of the Opening Ceremonies.
